This collection is inspired by what I notice as I go about my daily activities, running errands and hanging out with horses.

Using vibrant colour palettes, gentle texture, subtle layers, rich pigments and delicate marks, these paintings explore the quiet beauty of nature observed; fleeting moments, captured forever in paint on paper – small heartfelt paintings, limited in number, full of colour.

Each painting is fitted with a bevelled edged ivory mount for a clean finish making them perfect for those who find beauty in the quiet moments.

A collection of intimate, mixed media paintings on paper, inspired by a quiet yet unforgettable roadside encounter last Spring.

Amid the quiet of a village verge, a cluster of tulips – deep reds and dusty pinks- stood bold and beautiful against the lush green grass.

‘These paintings are less about tulips and more about how a splash of colour made me feel –

grounded, surprised, grateful.

It’s what Spring does for me,

so I try to hold on to that’

Each Spring for a few weeks, the countryside is transformed – rolling fields become seas of yellow rapeseed under blue/gray skies.

Love them or hate them, the rapeseed fields this year were blinding!

I don’t normally pay them much attention but this Spring was different for some reason.  I was struck dumb by the contrast of the bright yellow against the shifting blue/gray sky overhead.

‘‘When I saw the fields, I mean really SAW the fields, it felt like I’d just exhaled.

It wasn’t only the colour but the feeling of space and newness too’

I wonder if Mother Nature came upon the colour of bluebells by accident or did she have a recipe to follow...I don’t even have the words to describe it; it’s just yummy!

Taking inspiration from the quiet hush of bluebell woods, these little beauties have been created using soft purples, dusky lilacs and juicy greens – a moment of calm so easy to miss.

'I wanted to paint the peace I feel when stood in a bluebell wood, the colour the scent and that sense of being immersed in nature'

Over the past four years, my solo exhibitions have had an unexpected tradition; one colour palette always stands out as the clear favourite.

This year was no different.

A simple blend of yellow, blue and brown seems to have captured your hearts more than any other.

Inspired by that response I’ve created this set of small, joyful, imaginary landscapes which I hope will transport you if even just for a moment.
