Small and Independent

Standing at just under 5ft and incredibly stubborn, this post title doesn't just refer to me!
This year I've been taking a more 'grown up' approach to my small, independent business.
Simply put, this means getting better at Marketing myself and my work, and boy am I finding it tough as I slowly work through the 'cringe' of coming out of hiding.
Here's a summary of all that's been happening since wrapping up my last exhibition in March alongside creating new work for my next solo exhibition.
Wildflower Magazine Summer Roundup
I've been a member of the Wildflower Magazines Little Green Book Community since April 2024 and this Summer I’m featured in their Summer round up page, focusing on interiors, including artworks and craft/ accessories for the home.
You can pick up a copy in your local Waitrose, M&S stores and WH Smith.

Website Refresh
I've been working on my website design and a new purchasing process that’s less automated and more personal.
Redesigning my website using only essential cookies has meant removing the shopping cart and other 'cookie hungry' functions.
I’m hoping these changes will make my website a less intrusive, nicer place for people to visit.
And if you would like to purchase something you've seen on my website, you only need fill in the contact form expressing your interest and I'll get in touch to discuss.
Should you then decide to purchase something, I’ll raise an invoice and you can make the payment by BACS - less automated; more personal.
You can find out more about the process here.
Miniature Landscape Collection
I've added a new miniature painting collection to my website called 'Nowhere and Everywhere', all under £100 and if you subscribe to my newsletters, you save 10% off your first purchase.

Upcoming Events
I've got some really exciting events coming up in the next few months alongside looking for new exhibition venues for 2026/2027. The calendar looks like this so far:-
July 2025
Artful Summer Weekend with the Artful Collective in the beautiful Sir Harold Hillier Gardens.
September 2025
The Newbury County Show.
November 2025
An online exhibition of a small work on paper collection that I've been holding back especially for this event.
March 2026
'From Source' my next solo exhibition at Main Gallery, Fisherton Mill, Salisbury.
The calendar can and most likely will change as opportunities' to exhibit arise so the best way to keep up to date is to subscribe to my Newsletter at the bottom of this page.
I'm told this is a 2 minute read, so if you're reading this, thanks for taking the time to stick with it!
